Member schools include nationally renowned independent institutions such as The Baylor School, Deerfield Academy, Choate Rosemary Hall, Foxcroft School, Indian Springs School, The Lawrenceville School, Milton Academy, Phillips Academy, Phillips Exeter Academy, St. George's School, St. Paul's School, The Taft School and The Thacher School. Twenty-seven public high schools, in selected communities, also serve as A Better Chance member schools.

Typically, more than 99 percent of A Better Chance graduating seniors immediately enroll in college.

Better Chance students receive over $12 million in full and partial scholarships contributed by schools that recognize their exceptional promise.
How many alumni are there?
A Better Chance has more than 8,000 alumni in every walk of life. Our alumni include a managing director or Morgan Stanley & Co., the former treasurer of the State of Connecticut and the first African American municipal court judge elected in the State of Arkansas. A Better Chance's alumni have won public recognition in the form of such honors as Presidential, Rhodes, Watson, Rockefeller, Danforth, Fulbright, Morehead and Angier B. Duke Scholarships.
What are some of the colleges ABC students attend? Historically, the University of Pennsylvania, Harvard, Brown, Columbia and Wesleyan have enrolled the greatest number of A Better Chance graduates.
Do volunteers play an important role in the program? A Better Chance relies on 4,000 volunteers nationwide, and a staff of twenty-two to help find and place children who can benefit from the A Better Chance experience.
