There are many ways to be involved with the ABC program in Eden Prairie.

Host Family
The Host Family Committee is responsible for overseeing the Sunday Host Family Program. The Host Family Program's success is critical. Host families are considered to be the "backbone" of the organization. Host Family Packet.

Finance Committee
The Finance Committee is responsible for overseeing the revenues and expenses of the ABC Foundation.

Community Relations Committee
The Community Relations Committee has responsibility for overseeing the twice yearly newsletter (Fall completed by early October, Spring by mid-April); actively seeking and pursuing speaking engagements for the Speakers' Bureau; and sending press releases and notices to the public.

Faculty Group
Each student is matched with a faculty member for additional support at the high school. There are no boundaries to this relationship. The faculty member is to be a resource person for the student, a friend, and someone to talk to when the student feels that he/she can't go to anyone else for school-related matters.

Financial Sponsors
Each student will be matched with a financial sponsor. Currently sponsorships are $10,000 annually per student. These dollars serve as the base of the financial support of the organization. The relationship between the sponsor and the student is usually through written communication. Once a year, the student will set up a meeting with the sponsor, more often if it is appropriate.

Mentors
Each student in the ABC program is matched with an adult mentor who teaches life skills by example. The mentor's responsibility is to bring the student and the relationship along at a pace comfortable for both. The mentor should be in contact with the student a minimum of twice a month, but the relationship is best if spontaneous. Typical mentor qualifications include a professional background and a flexible schedule.

Special Events Committee
The Special Events Committee is responsible for monthly activities that embrace the spirit of togetherness and family of ABC.
